Speedoc partners with oldest SG primary care firm for home care services

The demand for home healthcare services in the Asia-Pacific region has risen steadily, with the size of the market estimated to hit US$115.9 billion by 2027.

Leveraging that growth, Singapore-based healthtech firm Speedoc has partnered with Parkway Shenton, the primary care arm of IHH Healthcare Singapore, to broaden healthcare choices for Parkway Shenton’s patients.

Offerings include 24/7 doctor and nurse house calls, remote health monitoring, as well as medical consultations and hospital-level care at home for patients.

Founded in 2017, Speedoc allows users to make house calls for doctors and nurses and delivers medication. It also offers telemedicine, remote diagnostics, and health monitoring services.

Meanwhile, Parkway Shenton operates over 50 general practitioner clinics across Singapore, providing healthcare services ranging from the treatment of acute conditions and chronic diseases to preventive health. It’s the nation’s oldest primary provider, operating since 1973.

“Further to overall public health improvement, taking reference from other jurisdictions where healthcare innovation thrives is important to us,” Speedoc co-founder Shravan Verma said in a statement.

“The examples may vary from potential applications of AI to aid in clinical diagnosis to solutions for smoking cessation,” the exec added.

In 2020, Speedoc raised US$5 million in its series A round led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India.
