Scoot becomes first airline to accept PayNow payments

Scoot, the low-cost carrier owned by Singapore Airlines, today announced that PayNow will be available as a payment option for customers who book flights via its website.

It’s the first airline in Singapore to enable this mode of payment.

PayNow is an interbank funds-transfer service that lets retail customers and companies in Singapore send and receive payments using the recipient’s mobile phone number, Singapore ID number, or the company’s unique entity number.

Customers can scan a QR code when checking out on the Scoot website, using the mobile banking app of any bank that participates in PayNow.
