In brief: Semiconductor giant launches co-working space in Singapore

Infineon Technologies opened its first global Co-Innovation Space to help startups quickly create prototypes or viable semiconductor solutions for commercial showcase.

The first of its kind for the company, this 250-square meter area at Infineon’s Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore aims to fast-track the product development process of startups. More than just a workspace, Co-Innovation Space is a year-long commitment backed by technologies, expertise and guidance from Infineon in Singapore and around the world.

Four startups have signed up for the space: energy intelligence hardware developer Ampotech, electronic design automation company Plunify, fleet management firm Shado, and autonomous technology developer Xnergy.

Infineon will provide the new tenants with training and guidance, specifically in design thinking and business innovation thinking. The startups will also gain access to Infineon’s R&D and manufacturing facilities, as well as connections to major partners and customers in Asia Pacific.
