Survey: ShopeePay usage continues to grow in Indonesia
ShopeePay is becoming one of the top e-wallet choices in Indonesia, Daily Social reported, citing a Neurosensum survey that was conducted from November 2020 to January 2021.
Details:
- During the survey period, ShopeePay was being used by 68% of the participants living across eight cities in Jabodetabek, Java non-Jabodetabek, and outside Java Island. It was followed by Ovo with a 62% usage rate, GoPay with 54%, Dana with 53%, and LinkAja with 23%.
- Even while respondents in the survey were using multiple e-wallets for different purposes, 54% of them counted ShopeePay as the easiest to use for online shopping.
Context:
- Research firm Neurosensum’s Indonesia research manager Tika Widyaningtyas said that ShopeePay was preferred by users because it’s integrated within the Shopee app.
- The e-wallet also topped the charts when it came to providing offline and online promotions, as well as satisfactory promotional requirements.
