Klar Smile manufactures tailor-made clear dental aligners and offers treatment plans developed by experienced orthodontists. It also created an app where dentists and patients can interact and track treatment progress remotely.
The startup was founded by Ellen Pranata, Adelia Susanto, David Sugihartana, and Krisna Murti. Pranata serves as the company’s CEO, with Susanto acting as chief orthodontist, Sugihartana as COO, and Murti as chief commercial officer.
The company said that since its establishment in 2020, it has partnered with 1,000 dentists and orthodontists and has a presence in more than 800 dental clinics across every province in Indonesia.
It plans to use the new funding to grow its presence, which involves educating consumers about oral wellness and rolling out complementary products.
