PayrollHero bags deal with FamilyMart, eyes more big clients by yearโ€™s end

Payroll-Hero-720PayrollHero is on a roll.

The Philippine startup reveals it added leading convenience store chain FamilyMart to its growing list of clients.

FamilyMart joins many large food and beverage and retail businesses in the Philippines that are using PayrollHero as their time, attendance, scheduling, human resource information system, business intelligence, and payroll platform.

โ€œFamilyMart is a big win,โ€ says PayrollHero founder Stephen Jagger, noting the deal is โ€œa great step into two large Philippine companiesโ€ that are partners in FamilyMart. Thatโ€™s a reference to property firm Ayala Land and Stores Specialists, part of retailing group Rustanโ€™s โ€“ joint venture partners in FamilyMartโ€™s Philippine business.

FamilyMart plans to open 100 new stores in the Philippines in 2014 and just launched franchising efforts in line with its goal of having 500 stores by 2018.

Jagger says they expect to close deals with โ€œa few more tier oneโ€ clients before Christmas, although he canโ€™t name them yet.

โ€œWe are continuing to make a dent in the restaurant and retail segment with more announcements coming.โ€

In the past couple of quarters, PayrollHero landed contracts with several popular brands, among them Krispy Kreme, iHop, P.F. Changโ€™s, California Pizza Kitchen, and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Most of the startupโ€™s clients are based in the Philippines, while the rest are spread across Southeast Asia.
