In brief: Payments solution company Razorpay banks $75m in series C round
- Indian payments solution company Razorpay raised US$75 million in a series C round of equity financing, co-led by fintech-focused investment firm Ribbit Capital and Sequoia India, The Economic Times reported.
- Existing investors Tiger Global Management and Y Combinator’s Continuity Fund also participating in the round.
- The company plans to use the fresh funds to strengthen its neo-banking platform Razorpay X and lending arm Razorpay Capital.
- While the company did not disclose its exact valuation following the round, people familiar with the matter estimated the figure to be around US$450 million.
