Business publication Forbes announced that it has removed Harsh Dalal, co-founder and CEO of Team Labs, from its 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2021.
The decision was made “after a careful consideration of the findings of a comprehensive review of the information that was used to qualify him for the list, as well as new information that has come to light in recent days,” the publication said.

This move happened after Tech in Asia released a story that investigated and found numerous gaps in Team Labs’ narrative.
Even as our reporting was underway, Forbes had already begun a review of the information provided by Dalal. It then took out key claims he made from a profile story, while completely removing any mention of him in another.
Looking ahead, the publication said it has “taken significant steps to further tighten our evaluation processes.”
“Forbes holds itself to the highest standards of journalism, and that includes the integrity of the 30 Under 30 Asia list. The information that we now know about Dalal supports our decision that he should no longer be included on the 30 Under 30 Asia list,” it concluded.
Meanwhile, CNA has also begun its investigation of Dalal’s story and will “take all appropriate steps” once its review is complete.
In the meantime, it has removed one of the two videos on YouTube that features Dalal.
