Thailand-based Pomelo announced the completion of its deal with Looksi, the fashion ecommerce platform of local conglomerate Central Group.
With the deal, brands currently on Looksi will be added to Pomelo’s app and website. Some of the top brands on Looksi include Adidas, Aldo, Havaianas, Topshop, Guess, Levi’s, and Nike, among others.

According to a statement, Looksi will no longer operate its app and website and instead join the Pomelo ecosystem, including its social media channels.
“Looksi has been serving Thai fashion ecommerce shoppers since its founding as Zalora in 2012. This deal will accelerate Pomelo’s evolution to become a multi-brand fashion platform for fashion lovers all across Southeast Asia,” said David Jou, CEO and co-founder of Pomelo.
In 2016, Central Group acquired Zalora Thailand, then later rebranded and relaunched it as Looksi in 2017. Looksi had over 50,000 products from 650 local and international brands on its website and mobile app, according to the statement.
Launched in 2013, Pomelo has been expanding its retail footprint in Thailand and Singapore, opening 10 new stores last year.

The announcement comes shortly after the company appointed a new chief retail officer, who formerly served at an H&M venture, to lead its retail expansion plans across Southeast Asia.
Last year, Pomelo raised US$52 million in a series C funding round from Central Group and others to bankroll its expansion strategy in the region.
