Playstation to show off indie love and Project Morpheus at Casual Connect Singapore 2014

Playstation is following up on its recent outpouring of love for indies with a showcase booth at Casual Connect Singapore. Indie games One Upon Light by SUTD Game Lab and Rocketbirds 2: Evolution by Ratloop Asia will both have their Playstation 4 versions available there.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJA) will also be conducting a talk at 11:30 A.M. on May 20 to share about developing for Playstation with the Unity engine. Koji Tada, SCEJA’s director of development relations, Hiroki Kaminaga from SCEJA’s developer support, and Chuah Chong Yunn from SUTD Game Lab will be sharing their experiences there.

More importantly, a playable demo of Project Morpheus will be, according to press release, “performed on stage” in its first ever public showcase in Southeast Asia.

I’m inclined to believe this means we will be able to see but cannot touch the damn thing, but who knows! Playstation has been generous to Southeast Asia in the last year and it might just prove us wrong.

The 11:30 A.M. talk by Playstation will last until 12:10 P.M. It will take place in the Banyan Tower Ballroom on May 20, the first day of Casual Connect Singapore 2014. Do note that Casual Connect Singapore 2014 is a ticketed event.
