The Player-versus-Player (PvP) feature is now live in Ragnarok Online 2. Dubbed the Grand Master Jehoon Training Site, the PvP arena is built for 5 on 5 combat, and has a rather strange win condition.
To emerge victorious, players are expected to destroy the opposing team’s statues while defending their own. Each team will have small, medium, and large statues, and these statues have to be destroyed in ascending order to progress. If neither group manages to smash their opponents’ statues in time, the team that has earned the most points wins.
Players can also hunt monsters in the map and earn Chakra. This currency can be exchanged in either team’s base for buffs for themselves or debuffs for the enemy team. Note that Chakra can only be used in the PvP map. There are also four special statues on the outskirts of the map that inflict players with negative status effects when destroyed. Steer clear of those!
You’ve probably more than had your fill of Player-vs-Environment quests in Ragnarok Online 2 by now. So if you want to cut your teeth against real opponents, look for the Warp NPC next to Master Jehoon himself at ChungLimSa in Payon Forest.
