It has been quite the crazy day for the Southeast Asian games market. Bandai Namco Games Asia has just announced the opening of Bandai Namco Games Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Right now, Bandai Namco’s sales, marketing, and distribution operations for Southeast Asia all happen out of its Singapore office. It appears that the Malaysia office will assist with that, with its head, Nicholas Ng, reporting to Singapore-based GM of sales and marketing, Rainel Tan. This new office is meant to compliment the existing Bandai Namco footprint in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
Managing director of Bandai Namco Games Asia Gerard Noonan adds that:
Malaysia has always been one of our key markets within Southeast Asia and with the establishment of the new office we will increase our support to the local market, deliver more content, and bring the best gaming experiences to Malaysian gamers.
He also says that the brand’s on-ground marketing activities will help strengthen Bandai Namco’s presence and assist with its growth plans for the Southeast Asian market.
