How a Philippines-based Startup is Reinventing Your Email Marketing
FreeMailBlast is an email management service that offers an all-in-one solution to sending out millions of emails in as little time as possible. It’s aimed at anyone: individuals, SMEs, or big companies.
The development team behind FreeMailBlast is based in the US, but the co-founder, Bryan Cooley, runs operations and logistics from here in the Philippines. He has been in Manila for 14 months and will soon open another office in the city to support the company’s future expansions. Cooley also co-founded PisoBid.com, a Philippine-based penny auction site.
As to why the startup chose the Philippines as a base for the ventures, Cooley said he wants “to help the local economy by providing jobs to people in need.” This has been mutually beneficial to them as well for they have hired a number of staff for their sales and customer service.
FreeMailBlast, although self-funded to date, is now open to investments from angels or VC’s, says Bryan, to accelerate its growth and expand the current offerings.
Among the services core features are real-time analytics, proper handling of bounces and spam clicks, and ensuring email deliverability. Of course, it’s up against major rivals like Mailchimp.
FreeMailBlast sells its own “credits” as a way to let users control how much email they need to send. Prices start at US$19.99 for 30,000 email credits. Alternatively, there are some monthly plans.
FreeMailBlast is now accepting pre-registrations and they will provide and extend several privileges to the early batch of users who sign up and spread the word. This includes free email sending, early access to its API and new features, as well as hands-on support. The co-founder tells us that FreeMailBlast is already serving big brands including ones in the fashion and airline industries.
