It looks like you’ll be able to make your own dungeons to crawl through in Atlus’ upcoming Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth.
In the latest edition of Famitsu, the game company teased several new features for the next instalment in the Persona series, including a map making component and F.O.E. monsters. Both of these new features are similar to the ones found in another one of Atlus’ dungeon crawlers, Etrian Odyssey.
See: Persona 5 will definitely be released outside of Japan, but not until 2015
Like in Etrian Odyssey, Persona Q will let you draw out your map layout on the 3DS’s touchscreen, which should make for some quick and simple map design. The F.O.E. monsters are supposedly incredibly strong and will appear sporadically, just as they do in Etrian Odyssey. We don’t know exactly what F.O.E. stands for yet, but we do know that you will be rewarded handsomely if you can defeat these monsters. You will just have to decide whether or not the reward is worth the risk.
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will contain the characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4* and will be out in Japan on June 5, 2014. For those of you outside of Japan, you will just have to wait until fall for this JRPG to make it to your 3DS.
