JD.com promotes execs in retail and health businesses after robust Q2 results

Chinese ecommerce firm JD.com has announced the appointments of Lei Xu as president of JD.com, Lijun Xin as CEO of JD Retail, and Enlin Jin as CEO of JD Health.

Experience:

• Xu has been with JD.com since 2009 and was previously CEO of JD Retail, where he was responsible for the development, operation, and strategy of JD.com’s retail business. Meanwhile, Xin previously served as an executive director and the CEO of JD Health.
• Prior to Jin’s appointment as CEO of JD Health, he was the healthcare unit’s head of strategy and investment, overseeing various projects such as JD Pharmacy, Yaojingcai, and JD Online Hospital.

• According to the company, JD.com chairman and CEO Richard Qiangdong Liu will now focus on the company’s long-term strategies, as well as on mentoring younger management and contributing to the development of rural areas.
• JD.com reported a 26.2% jump in revenue in the second quarter of 2021 on the back of strong performances from its retail and logistics businesses.
