Sugiarto’s appointment marks East Ventures’ further commitment to its environmental, social, and governance goals. She spearheaded the firm’s signing of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment and drove initiatives such as the Women with Impact forum and East Ventures’ sustainability report.
In her new role, Sugiarto will work to support the firm’s portfolio of startups in the seed and growth stages, according to a company statement.
She brings over 12 years of experience in alternative asset investment across various industries to her new position. Prior to joining the firm as a venture partner in January, she was a senior vice president at asset management firm Indies Capital Partners, where she was responsible for deal sourcing, analysis, execution, and fundraising across investment products.
