Week 1 of OGN Champions Summer 2014 brought a few unexpected upsets, as well as a display of sheer and ruthless dominance.
Korea has always been known for its unpredictability. But even so, the odds of Najin White Shield—runners-up of OGN Spring 2014—ending up in a tie during their first group match against Jin Air Falcons were insanely low. On the other hand, their sister team Najin Black Sword snatched an unexpected 2-0 win against KT Bullets, while the second KT squad (Arrows) ended up with a draw against Jin Air Stealths.
Group A did not bring any unexpected outcomes: both SKT T1 K and Samsung Blue, who are also the current leaders in Circuit Points (450) crushed their opposition without effort. And it seems as if luck itself decided to turn its back on the Incredible Miracle organization, as it was thrown into a group that included their own sister team and two monster teams.
Here are the current group standings following week one, as well as the schedule for week two.

Day 1, June 25
CJ Entus fans rejoice! This day is truly going to be a clash between veterans of the league and newcomers trying to prove their worth.
CJ Frost showed moments of brilliance during their games against SKT T1 S in Korea’s platinum league – NLB. All the cogs worked together and it was hard to believe this team did not make it out of the group stage in Champions. Now, they stand against a mix-up of the old IM #1 and solo queue challenger players. There is the possibility of an upset, but both CJ teams have something to prove this split and it goes without saying that they are hungry for a win.
The second game of Day 1 features MKZ and CJ Blaze, the team that finished fourth during OGN Champions Spring 2014. Lustboy, their ex-support, has been replaced by Gunza, a former Quantic Gaming player and a substitute for Samsung Galaxy White (formerly known as Ozone). We have yet to see the new bot lane of CJ Entus Blaze in action, so its performance could be a vast boost to the team, or the anchor around its neck.

Day 2, June 27
Grab popcorn, invite your friends and sit back in your chair, the most hyped up match of this group stage is here!
SK Telecom T1 K versus Samsung Galaxy Blue is undoubtedly the biggest event of the upcoming week. Some may say it will be a battle for the top seed in Group A, but do not get fooled, as both of those teams are at the top of the table. Their match in OGN Masters was insane, it was truly the highest standard of League of Legends. It is Faker against DADE in the middle lane, two players renowned for their superior skill and proficiency at making plays. The Season 3 Champions want to take away the glory that was stolen from them, while Samsung Blue try to save their spot as the only true champions of OGN.
