Nintendo 3DS: Attack on Titan game on screenshots, game details and launch date released

Isayama Hajime’s Attack on Titan, a popular Japanese anime was last heard heading to the Nintendo 3DS with the help of game development company Spike Chunsoft. Recently, Famitsu did not only confirm the release date for Shingeki No Kyojin: Hangeki no Tsubasa (Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind), it also shared a few details and screenshots of the game.

Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind is an action game where players take the role of Scouting Legion soldiers Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. Eren will be the initial playable character with Mikasa and Armin getting unlocked further into the game. The idea is to fight against titans, mysterious humanoid creatures that have forced human civilization into retreat. Once the player gets eaten by a titan, the game is over. If the player’s NPC companion gets captured by a titan, the NPC may be saved by severing the titan’s arm.

Players will also be able to use the 3D Maneuver Gear, which gives you the fast-paced, action-packed feeling from the anime. Multiplayer is also available for up to four cooperative players, as well as a character customization feature.

Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind on Nintendo 3DS will be released on December 5 for 6,090 Yen ($62).
