In brief: Agritech startup bags $35m funding to grow India footprint

Ninjacart, a marketing and delivery platform for agricultural produce, has raised US$35 million in a series B round led by US-based Accel Partners and Switzerland-based Syngeta Ventures.

Current Ninjacart backers Accel India and Qualcomm Venture also joined the round, alongside new investors like South Korean Neoplux and Trifecta Capital.

The Bangalore-based startup will use the funding to enter 10 more cities in India, open over 200 distribution centers, and invest in better supply chain infrastructure.

To date, Ninjacart has raised over US$49 million.
