For mobile web developers, HTML5 and javascript are key tools for anyone who wants to bring some flashy (no, not that Flash) interactivity to their websites. And coming up this November in Singapore, there will be a two-day conference focusing on javascript, as well as the community that is growing up around it here in Asia.
JSCamp Asia Undisclosured [1] will take place on November 29th and 30th at NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House. It will host 22 local and international speakers, spanning known experts (speakers from Mozilla, Google, Twitter, Adobe and Paypal) as well as up-and-coming newcomers in the community. Organization of the conference is being headed up by Thomas Gorissen, who explained a little more to us about the event:
The idea of this conference was born out the need in the region for more and professional web engineers and developers. It wants to engage, excite and educate the community and hopefully unlock the next level of quality and experience of Asia built online services and apps.
The event aims to be a good platform for any developer who has a tool, framework, or library they would like to put on display – either to showcase, to share, or to improve. JSCamp Asia wants to give you a few minutes of stage time before the final keynote on day two on Friday [2]. For the weekend following the conference, you may invite people to join you at participating co-working spaces in Singapore for ‘development sprints’ that will be something akin to a startup weekend, but for open source development.
Early bird tickets went on sale earlier today, but were snatched up pretty quick. The next batch will be available on August 16th, so be sure to mark your calendars. The ticket price will be SG$590 (or about $475) although discounts will be available via the following local developer and startup communities and organizations:
