Zomato invests additional $172m in Blinkit
Zomato has invested 1,500 crore rupees (around US$172 million) in Blinkit through a rights issue.
This follows a 500 crore rupees (around US$57.3 million) infusion last month, bringing Zomato’s total investment in Blinkit to 4,300 crore rupees (around US$492.7 million) since its acquisition.
Blinkit reported an adjusted EBITDA loss of 103 crore rupees (around US$11.4 million) in Q3.
The company added 216 new dark stores in Q3, surpassing 1,000 total stores and targeting 2,000 by December 2025.
