Zepto has expanded in India with over 20 dark stores in Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Vellore, and Salem. It also launched its first women-only dark store.

The stores are strategically placed within 2-3 km of delivery areas, ensuring quick delivery at speeds of 15-20 km/h.

Zepto has partnered with 100+ local farmers to source regional produce like tender coconuts and green vegetables from Palacode and Pollachi.

The stores offer regional products such as Murukku, cold-pressed oils, and various rice types, alongside national and global brands.

This expansion comes as competition in quick commerce heats up. Rivals like Blinkit and Swiggy Instamart are also growing their operations with new dark stores and expanded services.
