XPeng Aeroht launches 1,000-km island-flying project
XPeng Aeroht, a subsidiary of the Chinese EV manufacturer Xpeng, has teamed up with Hainan province to launch the “aerial-round-the-island scenic highway,” marking a new era of island-wide flying.
The project aims to develop 1,000-kilometer low-altitude mobility route through a three-phase plan.
The first phase involves agreements with over 40 flying campsites near key tourist spots.
The second phase will add observation decks, parking spots, and various flying stations.
The final phase, expected between 2026 and 2027, will link scenic locations via low-altitude route.
Alongside the collaboration announcement, XPeng Aeroht revealed its Land Aircraft Carrier, described as the first modular flying car produced at scale.
The vehicle is set for official release and delivery in 2026, with a price cap of 2 million yuan (US$274,600).
