VinFast to set up 100k charging stations in Indonesia
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is planning to establish up to 100,000 charging stations across Indonesia.
This announcement was made by Indonesian Investment Minister Rosan Roeslani following a meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and the company’s representatives.
Roeslani noted that VinFast’s assembly plant in West Java is under construction and is expected to begin operations next year.
The facility has a projected annual production capacity of 50,000 units, with a total investment of US$200 million.
According to Roeslani, VinFast’s investment in charging infrastructure is anticipated to facilitate greater adoption of EVs in Indonesia.
