Vietnam’s PM pushes Starlink trial

Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged officials to grant a pilot license for SpaceX’s Starlink satellite service during a discussion with US business leaders.

In September, SpaceX proposed a US$1.5 billion investment in Vietnam for its low-orbit satellite service.

The country’s National Assembly recently approved regulations allowing foreign telecommunications companies to operate such technology on a trial basis.
