US House warns Amazon on TikTok partnership
Amazon recently met with the United States’ House China committee to address American lawmakers’ concerns about its partnership with TikTok.
A spokesperson for the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party confirmed a meeting with Amazon, discussing its August partnership with TikTok.
This deal allows TikTok users to link their accounts to Amazon and shop without leaving the app.
The committee warned Amazon that partnering with TikTok is risky due to the national security threats posed by the app.
Amazon and TikTok have not commented on the meeting and related concerns.
