Uber plans to deploy 1,000 electric vehicles in partnership with Chennai-based Refex Green Mobility by 2026, covering major Indian cities.

This initiative aligns with Uber’s global goal of achieving 100% emission-free rides by 2040.

Aditya Kapoor, head of Uber India and South Asia, said that the collaboration aims to facilitate electric vehicle adoption in India.

Refex Group’s Sachin Navtosh Jha noted the partnership advances India’s sustainability goals, with Refex already operating 1,300 EVs.
