TSMC Q4 profit set to surge 58% on strong AI chip demand
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) is projected to post a fourth-quarter net profit of T$377.95 billion (US$11.41 billion), according to SmartEstimate from 22 analysts compiled by LSEG.
This marks a 58% increase from T$238.7 billion (US$7.22 billion) recorded during the same period last year.
The company is set to release its earnings and revenue outlook on Thursday at 0600 GMT.
As the world’s largest contract chipmaker, TSMC benefits from growing AI adaption, serving major clients like Apple and Nvidia.
However, it face challenges from US export restrictions to China and uncertainties surrounding the incoming US administration.
