Trump, SoftBank CEO announce $100b US investment
United States President-elect Donald Trump and SoftBank Group CEO Masayoshi Son announced on Monday that SoftBank plans to invest U$100 billion in US projects over the next four years.
This investment will primarily target AI and other emerging technologies.
Trump said this investment could lead to the creation of at least 100,000 jobs in the US.
Trump encouraged Son to consider raising the investment commitment to US$200 billion.
Son responded that he would “try” if he received support from Trump.
