SoftBank posts $6.4b profit, first in three years
SoftBank Group posted its first profit for the April to September period in three years.
The company reported a net profit of around 1 trillion yen (US$6.4 billion) in its recent earnings report for the first half of fiscal year 2024.
The Vision Funds investment unit played a central role, contributing a gain of nearly 169 billion yen (about US$1 billion), marking the first profitable reporting in this period since fiscal year 2021.
