TikTok global ad chief steps down in leadership shifts
Blake Chandlee, TikTok’s global advertising chief, is stepping down to take an advisory role as part of a larger reorganization effective Apr. 1. His global business solutions team will merge with the global monetization product technology team, now led by Will Liu.
Chandlee, who joined in 2019 from Facebook, highlighted TikTok’s rapid ad sales growth, aiming for a 50% increase by 2025.
This change follows several leadership departures at TikTok, with at least eight executives leaving since early 2025, including music chief Ole Obermann.
Meanwhile, TikTok faces an Apr. 5 deadline from the US government to finalize its US operations sale.
Oracle has proposed a plan with security assurances and a minor stake in a new American entity, potentially keeping control of TikTok’s algorithm with ByteDance.
TikTok has not commented on these developments.
