Starlink seeks clearance for satellite broadband in India
Starlink is seeking security clearance to offer satellite broadband services in India, the country’s telecom minister announced on Tuesday.
Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia confirmed the company is working toward fulfilling necessary security processes.
The firm must demonstrate its ability to process and store data locally and secure its satellite signals.
Despite having security clearance, Starlink must meet additional industry requirements, including spectrum allocation, before launching services.
