Starbucks to cut 1,100 corporate jobs

Starbucks announced on Feb. 24 will eliminate 1,100 corporate positions as part of its restructuring and operational streamlining.

The layoffs will include existing corporate support roles and several hundred unfilled positions, as stated in a letter to employees by CEO Brian Niccol.

Niccol said the company will remove redundancies, forming smaller teams, and improving cross-department collaboration.

The layoffs come as Starbucks faces declining demand for premium beverages in key markets like the US and China.
