Samsung tops outside director salaries in South Korea: report
Samsung Electronics offered the highest average salaries to outside directors among major listed companies in South Korea in 2024, according to the corporate tracker CEO Score.
The company reported an average of 183.3 million won (US$126,308) per outside director last year. This marked a 9.8% decrease from 2023.
The rankings analyzed 247 firms from South Korea’s top 500 companies by market capitalization.
A total of 29 companies paid outside directors over 100 million won (US$68,830), with 26 linked to top conglomerates Samsung, SK, Hyundai Motor, and LG.
