Reddit introduces new tools to boost compliance, posts
Social media platform Reddit has launched new features aimed at enhancing user compliance with subreddit rules and improving insights into post performance.
This move follows a recent decline in user growth, attributed to modifications in Google’s search algorithm. According to CEO Steve Huffman, traffic from Google has since rebounded.
One notable feature is a “rules check” tool, currently being tested on smartphones, which helps ensure that users adhere to subreddit-specific guidelines.
Users will also benefit from a post recovery feature, allowing them to repost content to different subreddits if it is removed for violating rules.
Additionally, Reddit plans to provide tailored subreddit recommendations based on post content and clarify posting criteria for specific communities.
