Publisher proceeds with ex-Meta employee’s book publication
Flatiron Books, a division of Macmillan, confirmed it will proceed with the publication of a book by Sarah Wynn-Williams, a former Meta employee, despite an arbitration order against its release.
The book, Careless People: A Cautionary Tale of Power, Greed, and Lost Idealism, discusses alleged misconduct and harassment at Meta.
It has faced legal challenges related to a severance agreement Wynn-Williams signed in 2017.
The arbitration ruling instructs Wynn-Williams to refrain from making “disparaging” statements about Meta and to stop promoting or publishing the book where possible.
Macmillan noted that the ruling does not address the claims presented in the book and stated that it underwent a thorough editorial process.
As of now, Meta has not issued a comment regarding the situation.
