OpenAI, SoftBank partner to develop $3b enterprise AI platform
OpenAI and SoftBank Group have formed a partnership to launch “Cristal Intelligence,” an AI platform designed for enterprise applications.
SoftBank Group plans to invest US$3 billion annually to deploy OpenAI’s technologies, such as Cristal Intelligence and ChatGPT Enterprise, across its subsidiaries.
This initiative will enhance integration and security within company systems and will be implemented across SoftBank’s businesses.
To facilitate deployment and customization for companies in Japan, OpenAI and SoftBank will create a joint venture called SB OpenAI Japan.
Both companies will hold equal ownership in this venture, aimed at providing local enterprises with Cristal Intelligence tailored to their operational needs.
