Nvidia to unveil Jetson Thor for AI-driven robotics

Nvidia plans to launch Jetson Thor, a new generation of compact computers for humanoid robots, in the first half of 2025.

This move underscores Nvidia’s ongoing expansion into the robotics sector.

Jetson Thor is part of Nvidia’s strategy to capitalize on AI-driven robotic opportunities, focusing on supporting “hundreds of thousands” of robot developers worldwide, according to Deepu Talla, Nvidia’s VP of robotics.

The launch comes as major clients like Amazon and Google develop their own AI chips, potentially reducing dependence on Nvidia.
