Nvidia shares enter correction, Broadcom’s face decline

Nvidia shares fell by over 1% on Tuesday and entered correction territory on Monday, defined as drop at least 10% from its all-time high of US$148.88.

Meanwhile, chipmaker Broadcom ended the day down by 4% after gaining in pre-market trading.

However, the company had been seeing upward momentum recently, driven by strong fiscal results and an optimistic revenue forecast.

Despite the fluctuations, Nvidia’s stock has risen more than 160% year-to-date, while Broadcom has gained over 120%.

Nvidia’s graphics processing units remain crucial for artificial intelligence training models. Meanwhile, Broadcom is focused on creating custom AI chips for large-scale cloud computing.
