Nvidia stock hits record high ahead of CEO’s speech

Nvidia’s stock reached a record high due to continued strong demand for its AI chips.

Shares increased by 3.6% to US$149.70 in early trading on Monday, surpassing the previous record closing high of US$148.88 set in November.

This surge occurred ahead of a scheduled keynote address by CEO Jensen Huang at the CES tech show in Las Vegas.

Analysts expect Huang to provide details on the next-generation “Rubin” graphics processing units and possibly introduce a new AI-focused central processing unit for personal computers.
