Nvidia leads GPU bids in India’s AI mission
Nvidia is reportedly the leading provider in GPU proposals for India’s 10,000 crore rupees (US$1,172 billion) AI mission, according to industry sources.
This initiative aims to distribute 10,000 GPUs to support research and development in AI for startups, researchers, students, and academics.
A total of 19 companies have submitted bids, with GPUs from Nvidia, AMD, and Intel, dominated by Nvidia’s submissions.
AS Rajgopal, CEO of NxtGen Datacenter and Cloud Technologies, noted that their bid includes three hardware platforms.
These platforms are AMD’s MI325X and MI210, Nvidia’s L40S, H100, and H200, along with Intel’s Gaudi-2.
