Musk's xAI offers free chatbot Grok access

X has made its AI chatbot Grok freely available to all users.

Before this change, Grok was accessible only to X Premium users, costing at least US$8 monthly or US$84 annually.

Users can access up to ten free prompts every two hours. Besides text prompts, users can generate 10 images in the same period.

The free service allows the analysis of three images daily, with extra analyses needing a subscription.
