MicroStrategy stops buying bitcoin
MicroStrategy, a software company based in Tysons Corner, Virginia, ceased its weekly bitcoin purchases last week following a 12-week buying streak that began in late October.
During this time, the company acquired over US$20 billion worth of bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to approximately US$44.7 billion, which represents more than 2% of the total bitcoin supply.
The company, led by Michael Saylor, has used various capital-raising methods, including stock sales and convertible debt.
