Microsoft Corp. has reached an agreement with News Corp.’s HarperCollins, allowing the use of select nonfiction titles to train its AI models.

Microsoft has not specified which AI models will incorporate these titles.

The company has also clarified that it will not produce new books without human authors.

HarperCollins noted that its authors can choose whether to participate. This agreement follows Microsoft’s pursuit of high-quality text for AI training.
