Microsoft shares dip 4% despite Q1 earnings beat
Microsoft reported higher-than-expected earnings for the fiscal first quarter.
However, its shares fell by 4% in extended trading due to slower growth forecasts.
The tech giant’s earnings per share reached US$3.30, surpassing the expected US$3.10.
Revenue was US$65.59 billion, above the anticipated US$64.51 billion.
Meanwhile, Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform, recorded a 33% growth rate. AI services are playing a significant role in this growth.
