Meta is set to introduce a community notes feature on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, with testing starting on Mar. 18 in the US.

This feature allows contributors to write and rate contextual notes on shared content, similar to the system used by X. Around 200,000 individuals have signed up as potential contributors.

Meta will use a rating system based on X’s open-source algorithm.

This marks a shift in its content management strategy following past criticism. The move highlights Meta’s ongoing efforts to improve content moderation across its platforms.
