Meta expands AI assistant to MENA, supports Arabic users
Meta has launched its AI assistant, Meta AI, across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The tool is now accessible in countries such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, and Iraq, with plans to expand to additional markets.
The assistant is integrated into Meta’s apps—Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger—without the need for prior registration.
Users can activate it by tapping the blue circle icon within the apps or mentioning “@Meta AI” in group chats for tasks like brainstorming or research.
The assistant also supports Arabic, broadening its accessibility in the region.
Future updates may include real-time image editing, personalized portraits, and caption generation. Meta has also introduced an educational content series to help users explore its features.
Currently, Meta AI serves 700 million people in 42 countries and supports 13 languages globally.
