Meta buys green energy credits from US solar projects

Meta Platforms Inc, the parent company of Facebook, has agreed to acquire green energy credits from four solar projects in the United States.

Developed by Invenergy, these projects are expected to produce 760 megawatts of solar power.

The projects will connect to the power grid between 2024 and 2027 in Ohio, Texas, New Mexico, and Arkansas.

Instead of using the electricity, Meta will obtain clean energy credits from these solar initiatives.
