LinkedIn’s Premium revenue hits $2b, faces growth challenge
LinkedIn generated over US$2 billion in revenue from its Premium subscription services in the past year, according to the company’s latest earnings announcement.
This milestone reflects a 9% year-over-year growth in the platform’s overall revenue.
The platform now has over 1 billion global users.
However, LinkedIn did not disclose its total revenue for the latest fiscal year or provide details on revenue from other business units, such as Talent Solutions.
Since its acquisition by Microsoft in 2016, LinkedIn has selectively shared financial and user metrics.
Industry estimates suggest LinkedIn’s total revenue for 2024 is about U$16.2 billion, with Premium subscriptions making up about 12.5% of this total.
Despite this growth, Microsoft expects LinkedIn’s future revenue to increase only in the “low- to mid-single digits,” citing challenges in its Talent Solutions segment.
