S Korea nuclear plant operator bans ChatGPT, DeepSeek
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. (KHNP), South Korea’s state-run nuclear reactor operator, has banned the use of AI services like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, effective Feb. 1.
The company aims to protect sensitive data and personal information.
KHNP is the first state-owned company in South Korea to block DeepSeek, an AI platform developed by Hangzhou DeepSeek.
